Terms of Service for Psalms Praylist

This Terms of Service ("Terms") governs your use of the Psalms Praylist App ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
The App allows you to add names to a public prayer list for spiritual purposes, read Psalms, and track your reading progress. You agree to use the App in a manner consistent with its purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
1.1 Content Standards
When adding names to the prayer list, you must ensure that the names and any associated information:
Are not offensive, obscene, defamatory, or inappropriate, including but not limited to names associated with hate figures (e.g., "Hitler"), curse words, or any content deemed offensive or harmful.
Do not infringe upon the rights of others, including privacy or intellectual property rights.
Are accurate and provided with the consent of the individual whose name is being added, where applicable.
Any names or content that violate these standards may be removed from the prayer list at the sole discretion of the App’s operator, without prior notice or refund.
2. Adding and Deleting Names
2.1 Adding Names
You may add names to the prayer list by selecting a duration and completing the associated purchase through the App’s payment system. By adding a name, you confirm that you have permission to share the name publicly on the prayer list, which is visible to other users across all platforms where the app is available (iOS, Android, and website).
2.2 Deleting Names
You can delete names you have added through the My Added Names section in the App. If you encounter any issues deleting a name, you may contact support through the website at Contact. Reasonable efforts will be made to assist you in resolving any issues.
3. Purchases and No Refund Policy
3.1 In-App Purchases
The App offers in-app purchases to add names to the prayer list for specified durations (e.g., day, week, month, year). All purchases are processed through Apple’s payment system and are subject to Apple’s payment policies.
3.2 No Refunds for Removed Content
If a name you added is removed due to a violation of the content standards (e.g., offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content), no refund will be provided for the associated purchase. All other refund requests are subject to Apple’s App Store refund policies.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
Attempt to interfere with the App’s functionality, including through hacking, data scraping, or introducing malicious code.
Share personal information without proper consent or authorization.
5. Intellectual Property
All content and materials within the App, including text, graphics, and software, are the property of the App’s operator or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the App without prior written consent.
6. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by the Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Termination
Your access to the App may be suspended or terminated at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct deemed harmful to the App or its users.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. There is no warranty that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App’s operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or inability to use the App.

Device Information: A unique identifier for your device is collected to link the names you add to your device, allowing you to manage or delete them later.
Notification Preferences: If you enable daily reminders in the Settings section, your preference and the selected time for notifications are stored.
1.2 Non-Personal InformationUsage Data: Anonymized data about how you use the App, such as which Psalms you read, your reading progress, and interactions with features like the progress tracker or heatmap in the Progress section, are collected.
Analytics: Third-party services are used to collect anonymized data to improve the App’s performance and user experience.
1.3 Payment InformationPayments for adding names to the prayer list are handled through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Payment details, such as credit card information, are not collected or stored. All payment processing is managed by Apple, and their privacy policies apply to payment-related data.2. How Information Is Used
The collected information is used for the following purposes:
To Provide the Prayer List Service: Names and details you submit are stored to display on the public prayer list and to allow you to manage your entries (e.g., delete them from the My Added Names section).
To Personalize Your Experience: Your settings, such as language preference (Hebrew, English, or both), text size, and light/dark mode, are saved on your device to customize your experience.
To Send Notifications: If you enable daily reminders, your selected time is used to schedule notifications to remind you to read a Psalm.
To Improve the App: Anonymized usage data helps understand how users interact with features like the prayer list filters or progress tracker to enhance the App.
To Ensure Compliance: Names added to the prayer list are reviewed to ensure they meet the Terms of Service, and offensive or inappropriate names are removed without refund.
3. How Information Is SharedPublic Prayer List: Names, mother’s names, gender, category, and expiration dates you submit are visible to other users of the App and website, as confirmed when adding a name. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to share this information publicly.
Service Providers: Firebase, a third-party service, is used to store data and analyze usage. Firebase processes data according to their privacy policy, available at Firebase
Legal Requirements: Information may be shared if required by law, such as in response to a court order or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the App or its users.
4. Data Storage and SecurityStorage: Names and related details are stored in a database with measures to ensure persistence. Your settings (e.g., language, text size, notifications) are stored locally on your device.
Security: Reasonable security measures, such as encryption for data in transit, are used to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Data Retention: Names remain on the prayer list until their selected duration expires. Expired names are automatically removed. You can also manually delete names you added from the My Added Names section at any time.
5. Your Choices
Deleting Names: You can delete names you added by swiping on them in the My Added Names section. If you have trouble deleting a name, contact support through the website at Contact.
Notifications: You can turn daily reminders on or off and adjust the reminder time in the Settings section. Turning off notifications cancels all scheduled reminders.
Opting Out of Analytics: To opt out of anonymized analytics, adjust your device’s settings to limit ad tracking or contact support for assistance.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for individuals under 13. Personal information from children under 13 is not knowingly collected. If such information is collected, it will be deleted promptly.
7. International Users
The App is hosted in Israel and subject to Israeli law. If you access or use the App from outside Israel, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Israel, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the App, you consent to this transfer and processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If you create notes in TaNaK, they are stored locally on your device (using iOS local storage). If you use iCloud for device backups, your notes may be backed up to your personal iCloud account, which is controlled by you and Apple, not us.
3. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising
TaNaK does not use:

The App’s software, design, code, and branding are owned by us. The Tanach source texts provided within the App are in the public domain and are not subject to these ownership terms. We claim no copyright over the underlying public domain scripture.
